Big cat in Panola County

This mountain lion was captured on a game camera in Deadwood on September 21, 2010. So, yes, we do have mountain lions in Panola County. It is being documented by the Texas Fish and Game Department.

This picture and text came from our local news paper. Texas biologist have came an found the tracks, and they have checked the picture for photo shop. everything turned out to be real.
This is not my picture just thought i would share it with everyone.

A mountain lion was recently photographed by a game camera in Panola County. Though photos are easy enough to fake, Texas Parks and Wildlife biologists are convinced it was an accurate report.

Why a mountain lion would be in East Texas is anybody’s guess. The biggest concentrations of wild lions in Texas occur in the Trans-Pecos and in South Texas. That’s a long way from Panola County.
