This is only the second attack (an encounter resulting in physical injury or death) that we have in our file for 2011.  The other was on July 31st in Alberta.  In that instance, a “little girl” suffering only minor injuries.  That cougar was tracked down and killed.

Cougar trackers, using specially trained dogs, bushwhacked through dense, temperate rainforest Wednesday in search of the animal that attacked an 18-month old boy this week.
